The Pacific Highway Upgrade is Australia’s largest road infrastructure project. CMC was granted the contract for Stage 3, a 1.8km section between Lisarow and Ourimbah. This included the upgrade of existing 2-lane dual carriageway to a 4-lane dual carriage way with local road adjustments, three new signalised intersections, bridgeworks, and adjustment of services.
CMC engaged Guard-R Fencing for the supply and installation of all pedestrian fencing. Of considerable note were the long stretches of Guard-R pedestrian fencing, manufactured to RMS specifications and installed on the traffic median strip, road side verge and crossings to protect pedestrians.
Guard-R’s large stockholding and project management ability facilitated installation ahead of schedule.
