TYPE 1 PEDESTRIAN FENCING
This type of pedestrian fencing was originally made by the Roads and Maritime Services to prevent pedestrians from walking into traffic. Every Street-Guard®️ traffic management fence will produce an immediate change in walking pattern upon installation.
TYPE 5 PEDESTRIAN FENCING
Made to Australian road safety standards, Street-Guard® RMS Type 5 pedestrian fencing is highly reliable. The solid steel construction redirects some of the energy upon impact, increasing the safety of pedestrians and reducing the dangers stemming from heavy vehicle traffic in a busy area.
Type 2
Type 2 RMS pedestrian fencing is a safety barrier made from galvanized steel. It serves to deter crossing and ensures pedestrians’ safe navigation along designated pathways, typically employed in various urban settings beyond just school zones and busy intersections.
Type 3
Type 3 RMS pedestrian fencing is a durable barrier made from galvanized steel, designed to prevent climbing and squeezing through. It’s commonly used in high-traffic areas, with reflective strips for enhanced visibility and safety.
Type 4
Type 4 RMS pedestrian fencing is a durable barrier made from galvanized steel. It is designed to prevent crossing and guide pedestrians safely along designated paths, commonly used in areas such as school zones and busy intersections.
Type 6
Type 6 RMS pedestrian fencing, constructed of galvanized steel, provides a sturdy barrier to deter crossing and ensure pedestrian safety along designated routes. It is frequently installed in proximity to transport hubs and pedestrian walkways for effective crowd management.

What’s the main difference between Type 1 and Type 5 RMS pedestrian fencing? The RMS specifications suggest that the pattern of the centre bars is the primary difference. These centre bars are angled, providing drivers with an unobstructed view of pedestrians.
